SPECIAL NOTE TO THE READERS ON HOW TO REGISTER.

To register with the GFN you must fill out an Application Form. You do this at the Registration Page. The Registration Page can be found by clicking on the White Masonic Icon (center icon). Either go to the bottom of the "Objectives" Page or you can click on here "CONTINUE TO REGISTER".

Fill in the Form (YOU MUST ANSWER ALL REQUIRED QUESTIONS) and click on "Submit Application". When filling out the Form be especially careful when writing your EMAIL Address. If you make an error in your Email address your Registration cannot be activated because you will not be able to receive your Password by Email. If you submit a wrong E-mail address you have to re-register with the correct one. PLEASE REMEMBER: The System can only see your address the way you write it. The most common error when entering a faulty Email address is placing a comma where a period should have been written. HINT: To make sure that your Email Address is correct, send yourself an email message. If you receive it, you know it is accurate.

QUESTION #1: I registered and never received my Password.

First try remedy of Question 5. If this doesn't solve your problem you will have to re-register and if you registered and never received your Password, it is more than likely that you didn't answer all the required questions or you entered an incorrect Email Address. Remember the most common error! You may have entered a comma where you should have written a period in your Email address. Like in "dot.com" you wrote "dot, com".

What to do? You will have to re-register and now you will need to use a different User Name than you did the last time because that User Name appears as already being in use. After your Application is reviewed (it may take up to ten days) your User Name and Password will be sent to your EMAIL address. Therefore, if you enter it incorrectly the System will not be able to locate you and you will not be able to receive your User Name and Password.

QUESTION #2: How can I change my Password and User Name?

What to do? You can change your Password and also add one other User Name after you have received your Password, not before. You will see "Account Blocked Status" until you are cleared. REMEMBER when Changing your Password or adding another User Name, (you can have two User Names) your EMAIL Address must be entered the same way when you first registered. You are encouraged to change your Password and to change it to something that may be easier for you to remember. CHANGE OF PASSWORD or ADDING A SECOND USER NAME are made at the REGISTRATION PAGE. There is a link under "HELPFUL HINTS" that tells you how to do that.

QUESTION #3: The System still does not accept my User Name or Password.

What to do? You can test your User Name and Password after you receive it, by logging on, after the Temple Door. Your Password and User Name are CASE SENSITIVE. Again, you must type them in exactly the way you received them. Example: User Name "john" is different from "JOHN" or "John". If your Password is "Worldturns"..."WORLDTURNS" or "World turns" will not work. Also, check your logon ID to make sure it's correct. Go to Question 5.

QUESTION #4: When I try to log-on, I get "ACCOUNT BLOCKED ERROR".

What to do? If you receive this notice, GFN has found something wrong with your Application. Also, if your Application has just been submitted you may have to wait up to 10 days for it to clear. If a Blocked Status still exists after ten days, contact the Network.

QUESTION #5: I forgot my Password and User Name. What do I do?

CLICK HERE and enter your email address.

QUESTION #6: I changed my Email Address since I registered last. Now I can't gain access to the Network.

What to do? If you change your Registered Email Address FOR ANY REASON, you MUST RE- REGISTER WITH THE NEW EMAIL ADDRESS. The System will purge your old (un-used) email address in time. You may need to change your User Name when registering again.

QUESTION #7: I have two Email Addresses. I want to use them both. What should I do?

What to do? If you wish to register a Second Email Address, you must proceed as if this were a separate membership. You must fill out the entire Application Form and submit another User Name to get a Password.

QUESTION #8: Can I log-on to the GFN from another computer besides mine?

What to do? Yes, you can use your User Name and Password from any Computer and log-on to the GFN. However, information such as GFN events, Password information, etc, can only be sent to your Email Addresses that you registered with the GFN. However, if our email that is sent to you periodically keeps being returned to us as undeliverable to an unknown address, the associated User Name and Password will be eventually purged from our files.

QUESTION #9: I haven't logged on to the GFN Site in quite awhile. Now it does not recognize my ID! What must I do?

What to do? The GFN data filing system allows a three months period before it removes the information of those members who have not logged on for 90 days. If that is the case in your situation, your data has been purged and you have to register again. Fill out the Application Form as you did the first time. Your second registration may take a little while longer to process. By the way, "Logging-on" (once in 90 days) entails only the following: The bare minimum is that you enter your User Name and Password and log-off. That's it. That is enough to satisfy the GFN Administrative System to mark you as "active".

We trust this answers most of your questions.

SPECIAL NOTICES:

We at the Global Fraternal Network have been trying to make this Site a very special place where Master Masons from all over the world can meet each other in comfort, harmony and total confidence. We believe that the major undertaking required in designing the registration process and creating this Masonically protected environment, has been a success and well worth the effort.

NOTICE REGARDING FREEMAIL ADDRESSES!

We have change our policy regarding Freely obtainable "anonymous" email addresses such as Hotmail or Juno. Except for a few Brothers who were strongly recommended, the free Email users were in the past not accepted due to the negative Internet reputation these users as a group have. At the same time our verification process required that an email address belonged to an ISP or On-line Service Provider.

However, because the GFN's application information requirements are quite extensive, there was sufficient verified data to insure that no unauthorized persons are accepted among the membership, and accordingly, our Site has remained pretty much trouble free. We will therefore in the future not deny membership to Brothers only on the basis that they use "Hotmail" or "Juno" for their Email. On the other hand, we reserve the right to deny or terminate access to a Member who is found not complying with the Masonic spirit and guide lines of the Global Fraternal Network.
